What types of refunds are possible?
- Non-Shipments - package entered into the carrier system, but never shipped.
- Non-Deliveries - package that missed its guaranteed delivery date but has not delivered yet.
- Late-Deliveries - package missed guaranteed delivery date
What type of transactions can Refund Retriever detect and help fix?
- Third Party billing on your account - shipping charges not paid by authorized 3rd party.
- Receiver billing on your account - shipping charges not paid by authorized Receiver.
- Third Party accounts - shipments being billed to your account by an unknown third party
Without the expertise and technology provided by Refund Retriever, you must be willing to
monitor the package or, worse, depend upon clients to complain. The carriers make it
"difficult" to detect a late shipment.
Online refund forms are cumbersome and you might have to wait for a refund approval from the
carrier and/or make the time consuming phone call to request a refund. The carriers know it is
generally unproductive for you to "detect" late shipments for a refund because they made
it that way. Guarantees, in general, are at least time consuming, if not difficult, to
claim and the carriers’ service guarantees are no exception. The carriers are depending
on you being happy with a guarantee that you rarely or don’t always use.
A Delivery performance study on UPS, DHL and FedEx, shows an 88%
to 91% on-time delivery for domestic next-day 10:30 am service in the results for
National performance. (Services aside from next-day do generally have a higher on-time delivery percentage.)
